Research question
What must an operator record to reuse this public source without turning it into an unsupported property-level claim?
Finding
2020 survey tables describe sampled housing and energy use; they do not predict one home's next bill. The statement describes source scope. It does not establish value, condition, compliance, risk, financing suitability, or an expected result for a particular property.

Method
Open the primary page instead of relying on a search snippet. Save its title, URL, access date, reporting period, and the exact table or section used. If a download is available, retain the original filename and release label.
Copy the source definition before copying the figure. Keep qualifiers about estimates, reporting coverage, geography, revisions, and methodology. Put operational interpretation in a separate field so later editors can tell which words came from the publisher.
A second reviewer should be able to reopen the source and reproduce the extraction. If the source moved, record the changed URL and keep the prior citation. If a figure changed, distinguish a corrected release from a new reporting period.
Operational use
Public evidence can identify the next local question. It cannot answer that question automatically. An operator may compare the source with a permit file, map record, loan document, utility bill, work order, or property ledger. The local record remains the evidence for the community.
A virtual assistant can maintain citations, compare release labels, flag definition changes, and prepare a review packet. Legal, lending, engineering, insurance, safety, tax, and compliance conclusions belong with the authorized owner or qualified professional.
Revision control
Never silently replace a prior figure. Keep the old entry, add the new one, state what changed, and name the reviewer. A transparent log prevents a later memo from mixing values drawn from different definitions or periods.
Set the next review from the publisher's stated schedule when one exists. If no schedule is published, assign a monitoring owner without inventing a release date.
Limitations
Public records may use samples, suppress cells, revise estimates, omit cases, or cover areas much larger than one property. A source log exposes these limits but cannot remove them. Verify the current source and all requirements that apply to the location and decision.

Research handoff
Keep the source log attached to any operational follow-up. MobileHomeBiz research briefs and administrative support show how evidence can move into a review queue without losing its definition.
